Not only is Mr Holbroojc our benefactor - he is one of us, a member of the student body In 1945, upon retiring from his legal career in New York City, he enrolled at the age of seventy in the art department of the University of Georgia and has become a great favorite with his fellow students Concerning his decision to present his collection to the University of Georgia, Mr Holbrook said, ' The South, in my opinion, is headed for I trial expansion in the postwar era. HOLBROOK we dedicate this book in gratitude for his gift to this University of the ' Eva Underhill Holbrook Memorial Collection ' of American paintings.
